Contest Themes

• Envisioned forms of Mekong-ROK collaboration at a specific future

• Providing information on Mekong-ROK cooperation projects or partnerships

• Cooperation between Korea and the Mekong for climate change in the Mekong Delta region

• Other Mekong-ROK related stories and open topics

 

Timeline

• Submission: July 27, 2024 (Sat) ~ November 10, 2024 (Sun) [Extended]

• Deliberation: Mid-November 2024 

• Award ceremony and presentations: Early December 2024 (Specific dates will be provided individually to the winners)

 

Eligible Participants

• Open to everyone, regardless of nationality. 

• Individuals or teams of up to 3 people can participate (one representative should submit)

Submission

• Online submission via the contest secretariat email (rokmekong24@gmail.com).

• After completing the online application form via the link provided during submission, please send the original file of your work to the secretariat email.

 

Format

• Length: Less than 90 seconds

• Languages: Korean, Mekong country languages, or English

• *For submissions in Korean or the languages of the five Mekong countries, English subtitles are required

• Formats: Various formats such as movies, dramas, documentaries, campaigns, animations, Vlogs, interviews, talk shows, cover songs/dances, advertisements, etc., are accepted

Award | Prize | Honor

• Awards: Minister of Foreign Affairs Award

• Grand Prize: 1 team 1 million won

• Excellence Award: 2 teams, 700,000 won each

• Participation Award: 3 teams, 500,000 won each

• The award recipient is scheduled to be invited to the presentation ceremony.

• For foreign residents, support will be provided for travel expenses, including round-trip airfare and accommodation.

Note: Winners are responsible for the income tax on the prize money, and the award details mentioned above are subject to change based on the entry status and the quality of the work.
